Well, today we got up, packed up and caught the Underground to Paddington Station. Then onto the train to Oxford for about an hour. Oxford was such a nice change of pace, kind of like the difference between Amsterdam and Haarlem. Much quieter. Even though our B&B was on a busy street, it was still a slower quieter vibe.
Our B&B used to be two separate houses, and in 1901 my great-grandmother lived in one of those houses with her family. It was very cool to think that they used the room we stayed in and we walked the same halls they did.
Once we were settled we went for a little walk in the rain. These photos were taken at the Christ Church Memorial Gardens.
The River Thames runs through Oxford.
Also several smaller waterways.
We found a cute cafe for a light dinner, then walked back to sort laundry and relax.
