Bonfire Day! Although we didn't see any bonfires or fireworks in downtown London. Today was also Harry Potter day. I navigated us on the Tube to Euston Station, then on the train to Watford. We had breakfast there then caught the bus to Warner Bros. Studio Tour. Yes I am a Harry Potter fan!
We went in about 1/2 hour before our scheduled tour. There was a huge atrium waiting area where there were costumes displayed from the Fantastic Beasts movies.
The gift shops were there, massive square footage, separate sections all leading into each other.
The cafeteria had a giant Marauder's Map overhead.
When it was time we filed past the cupboard under the stairs.
We then watched a short film that informed us what we could expect. Then the host asked if anyone had a birthday today. There were 4 of them, and they got to open the doors to the Great Hall together. What a massive set, still decorated for Hallowe'en.
Set decoration from the Yule Ball.
Some of the many wigs used on set.
The boy's dormitory.
The Gryffindor common room.
Dumbledore's office.
Potions classroom.
The Burrow.
The Black family tapestry.
Umbridge's office.
It was amazing, we would be in a giant hall with all kinds of small sets, props, costumes, videos, then you would go around a corner and be immersed in a huge set, like the Forbidden Forest.
Or King's Cross Station.
Some examples of the graphics department's work.
Butterbeer is delicious!
Gringott's.
Diagon Alley.
Beautiful paintings.
Gorgeous models.
And then we walked into the final room to behold this massive masterpiece of a model.
I have only posted a small amount of my photos. I couldn't post everything from all of the departments, you'll have to visit yourself someday!
