Here's one for the soccer players in the family. It's not Man U but it's the closest I'm going to get. Sheffield United is probably their mortal enemy!
We spent the day driving all around the area, the little villages outside of Sheffield that Brad's birth mom's family came from. We started in Alfreton. This is the High.
We explored the churchyard.
The view over the valley from behind the church.
The Heritage Centre (unfortunately closed today) and the new graveyard.
We also visited Swanwick, Somercotes, Pinxton, Jacksdale and finished up in Ironville. This is the old canal and towpath there.
We headed back up the M1 to Sheffield for a much deserved rest. I'm telling you, navigating really takes it out of me!
