Happy Hallowe'en!
I have seen one or two people dressed up today, and a few windows decorated, but nothing else to say it's Hallowe'en.
Today was a travel day. We caught the train to Amsterdam, then changed trains to Brussels, which was almost a three hour trip.
One last windmill!
The Aris Grand Place Hotel. The arched windows behind Brad are the windows on the top floor and centre in the exterior picture - the perfect room!
The view out the window.
The Grand Place or Grote Markt, the main square, was only a short walk from our hotel. Most of the signs are in both French and Dutch.
We checked out the covered shopping mall, Les Halles Saint-Géry. Very posh!
Every second shop sells chocolate. Or waffles. Or both. So after sharing a cone of frites with curry ketchup, we had to have waffles!
With genuine Belgian chocolates for dessert. So bad, but soooo good!
